Rare Victorian Royal Navy Artillery Volunteers Officer's Sword


31 3/4 inch, double edged blade with two narrow central fullers.  Etched Victorian coat of arms, Victorian fouled anchor with "R.N.A.V." and foliage scroll panels.  The forte with retailer "G. Lake Storehouse Plymouth".  Gilt brass guard with folding rear panel.  Victorian fouled anchor with "RNAV" cartouche.  Gilt brass lion mask pommel and backstrap.  Shagreen grip with twist wire binding.  Contained in its leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts. Complete with later, correct pattern sword knot.
