A smokebox numberplate, 30488, from a London & South Western Railway/Southern Railway H15 Class 4-6-0 No 488 built at Eastleigh in March 1914, becoming BR 30488. It spent all its BR days at Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in April 1959 and cut up at Eastleigh Works. Repainted, the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast on the back. (Postage Band: D)
