A smokebox numberplate 9010 from a GWR Dukedog Class 4-4-0 constructed at Swindon in April 1937 from locos 3402 (Bulldog Class) and 3269 (Duke Class) as No 3210. Named Earl Cairns when built, it lost its name later in 1937 when the nameplates were transferred to a newly built Castle Class 4-6-0. Renumbered 9010 in August 1946, it was shedded at Tyseley, Oswestry, Bristol Bath Road and Carmarthen before spending its final days back at Oswestry from where it was withdrawn in July 1957 and cut up at Swindon Works. The front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
