£480
A late 19th Century French champlevé enamelled time piece with spring driven movement, the balloon shaped case surmounted by a tied ribbon crest and flanked by ormolu cherub mounts, all upon a cartouche shaped base with applied hoof formed feet, height 23cm, width 20cm and depth 13cm, S/D.
The finish to the surface of the figures has tarnished slightly. There is some wear to the enamel around the pedestal to the base. The two rear feet have bent out of shape slightly. The arrow in Cupid's hand is bent slightly. The opposing figure appears to be missing something from her left hand.
The movement is un-signed.
There is some wear to the dial on the numbers 12 and 1. The number 7 is faded.
