A French late 19th century Louis XIV style gilt metal mounted tortoiseshell mantel clock, the enamel dial diam. 11.5cm, double spring driven movement striking on single coil, height 33cm.
Condition - left spring not winding, hairlines to dial at approx. 1 o'clock, ticking once right spring wound, with pendulum and key, general wear to exterior including some metal ware with dings and a little out of shape, cracks to tortoiseshell on back, minor losses to tortoiseshell, the veneer also with slightly matt finish to top, sides and back (requires re-polishing).
