An Egyptian Revival tourmaline and enamel brooch, circa 1900 centring on a cabochon pink tourmaline, between stylised birds with outstretched wings, applied with green and pink plique-à-jour and basse-taille enamels, length 6.5cm, indistinct assay mark, case stamped Brook & Son, Edinburgh
In good condition - pink tourmaline has a surface-reaching fissure towards the edge, some repolishing to the top. Indistinct assay mark possibly reads 9ct. Enamel in good condition, some minor crazing/cracking but nothing obvious, all seems stable. Pin secure. Gross weight 6 grams.
