1899 (Apr 21) Commercial cover to Germany with first issue 20pf cancelled in manuscript, "Richthofen 21.4.99" written below, backstamped at Swakopmund and in Germany. A rare cover from one of the construction sites on the Swakopmund to Windhoek railway; during the construction of the railway in 1897-99 several such sites were given the authority to cancel stamps in manuscript.
