British Academic Medal (electrotype plaque) copper d.145mm: National Art Competition (founded 1857) (medal) by A. Vechte - an intricate and very broad uniface design produced in electrotype copper as these proved impossible to strike. This example named to WILLIAM LIVESEY, 1860. STAGE XXII d. Eimer #1512, EF with original case (hinge broken), and a double-sided pen and ink note concerning the design and names of the examiners.
