A Chinese Ming Dynasty Imperial amber-lead glaze ceramic roof tile from the Forbidden City, late 14th century, relief moulded 5-toed dragon design, mounted in circular stained wood frame, with old label verso which states "reserved tile of the Palace of Ming Dynasty in Nanking, built under the reign of its First Emperor Ming Tai-Zou in the year of 1368, presented by QT Chen 1922", tile diameter 16.5cm
There are a few small surface glaze chips on the outside edge, and slight surface abrasions, but no sign of damage or restoration
