Large Moorcroft Bulbous Vase in the 'Windy Hill' Design by Kerry Goodwin. Number 27. Signed. 20cm High, 30cm Diameter.
Windy Hill, a Picture Perfect home in Kilmacolm, Scotland is one of the 2 private homes built by Charles Rennie MacKintosh. MacKintosh was commissioned to build Windy Hill in 1900, when he was 32 and embarking on a career as an architect. The Art Nouveau style associated with MacKintosh can be seen in the furniture and wood panelling. Kerry's design honours this as she places Windy Hill amongst Art Nouveau swirls in surrounding meadows, footpaths and skies. The design is carefully laced with roundels of MacKintosh Symbols - lines, webs and dots.
