A good collection of fourteen Japanese woodblock prints, 19th century - all unframed, comprising:
- two by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) of Kabuki actors, 37.5 x 25.5cm (one fair to good with small loss from lower corner, the other with insect damage to margins)
- four by Utagawa Kunisada I (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865), portraits of actors, including two from the Actors of the 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road series
- two similar prints by Utagawa Kunisada I (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865), on crepe style paper
- three prints by Utagawa Hiroshige II (1826-1869), one crepe paper, including 'Cherry Blossom Mount Tsukuba' and 'Meguro Fudo Temple'
- one by Toyohara Kunichika (1835-1900)
- two monochrome toba-e style book size woodblocks, probably 18th century
all but one attached with old adhesive to paper sheets at the corners or top edge only, the other example trimmed and laid down onto paper, condition varies from fair to good, some with losses from corners and margins, one with insect damage to margins
