A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO A CASUALTY WITH THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. A Great War Trio comprising 1915 Star named to 8336 Pte W. Sayers Northud' Fus. War Medal and Victory Medals similarly named. Wilfred Sayers entered the conflict in France on the 9th September 1915 and was soon reported as wounded, on the 7th October 1915, and entitled to a wound stripe, at this time he is recorded with the 13th Battalion. He was wounded for a second time on the 12th May 1916.
