An early 20th century printed advertising fan for The Ritz, marked Eventails Duvelleroy, Paris, the recto brightly coloured, with a central view of sailing boats on water, a vignette to the left with a courting couple, and a further one to the right showing revellers paying cards in a tavern, the verso with a pastoral scene; together with an advertising fan for Marguery, Paris, showing a game of Blind man’s Bluff, printed by Francolin, Gilet et Cie, Evantaillistes, Paris; and an unusual fan , the monture of wood, pierced and gilded, the paper leaf with a rather naive painting of Victorian children by a river bank, with ducks, a castle in the background, the sticks overlaid ô la sultane, but extending only to half the depth of the leaf, the verso being plain guard approx. 23cm (3)
