A fine plank on frame wooden model of a 19ft Windermere Class Yacht, this example is of 'Windward II'. She measures 115cm in length, beam of 26cm and is equipped with a streamlined lead weighted keel, single mast with canvas sail-made to scale by Bassett-Lowke. VGC a fine example. £300-500
Note: The model comes complete with a stand and with historical details including:- The original yacht on which the model is based was designed by Percy Crossley and built on Windermere. She was constructed in 1928 and was the last of 6 her Class to be built. The yacht was owned and sailed on Windermere by C.J.E. Hall who became the Honorary Life Commodore of the Royal Windermere Yacht Club. This model was made by the Godson of Mr. Hall and frequently crewed for him.
