A 1786 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD WITH RUNKEL BLADE. With a 82 cm blade engraved with GR monogram and Royal Coat of Arms, marked to the back 'J. J. Runkel Solingen'. With two part folding guard, wire bound grip and vase shaped pommel. With remains of leather scabbard retaining toe and one mount. 100 cm overall.
Nice unrestored condition, rubbing to gilt work and slight rubbing t blade, remnants of scabbard in poor condition.
