A FINE MID 19TH CENTURY ENGRAVED GILT BRASS SERVES PORCELAIN DIAL STRUT CLOCK ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS COLE the arched case with pierced fretwork engraved decoration, the back with adjustable easel and enclosed movement, bevelled glass to the front enclosing a blue ground Sevres style dial with floral gilt work decoration surrounding a romantic painted scene depicting lovers in a classical landscape below a circular dial with Roman numerals fronting a finely made spring driven movement with rectangular plates and lever escapement typical of Thomas Cole's work (22cm high )
