Large 20th century Italian majolica jardiniere on stand in the neoclassical style, modelled with ram's heads, harvest and acanthus leaves, decorated throughout with vibrant tones of majolica glaze, 115cm x 46cm x 41cm
Section of rim cracked and restuck to jardiniere (see image) with small associated loss to rim, some staining to interior of jardiniere, very small rim chips to extremities throughout. The stand with a section of the foot cracked, restored and restuck with old overpainting, with associated cracking and losses to glaze at foot, with evidence of glue and in-filling to stand around joins to upper part and foot, possibly restored, although this may have occurred during manufacture when the three components were fitted together. Minor glaze chipping overall.
