Follower of Bartolome Esteban Murillo (1618-1682), Immaculate Conception of Mary, 50cm high, 41cm wide, oil on board, 18th century

Condition - The painting has been executed on canvas, later applied to an oval cut fragment of Scandinavian pine, excellent detailed expression, particularly the eyes, due to the lack of a frame, small marks and light scratches especially to the edges.

Research Notes : This painting follows the template of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1618 Seville - 1682 Seville). The original painting (274cm x 190 cm) hangs in the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. It was commissioned by Justin de Neve (1625-1685, Seville), often seen reproduced on porcelain from the ilk of KPM, Berlin.
