**This clock is sold with a purchase receipt from Roderick Antique Clocks of London for £13,100 dated 29th July 2000
This clock has a new back board and has had several wheels and pinions replaced, the hood door has probably also been replaced, the case has obviously had a complete overhaul probably in the second half of the 20th century, the hood and cornice are very well made but definitely not period, the trunk door and base have some original marquetry but, again, have been subject to good restoration, the sides would appear to have been sympathetically re-veneered/thinned over the years, the hood does not rise but slides off in the conventional way, the condition of the movement is generally very good and will have been restored at the same time as the case, the hands are probably not original and sympathetic replacements, the precise dimensions of the hood face aperture is 9.75" square, the seat board is not original, there has been treated woodworm in the case especially in the top left hand side of the trunk, the case has been heavily restored but parts may have been contemporary with the movement.
