HMS Association, Isles of Scilly 1707 A bronze pulley wheel, once fitted into the lower end of a topmast or upper topmast on The Association, diameter 21.5cm On the 22nd of October 1707, a fleet of four Royal Navy Ships, HMS Association, HMS Eagle, HMS Romney and HMS Firebrand were wrecked off the Western Rocks, Isles of Scilly, Cornwall. Over 1600 men were lost, including the man in charge of all four ships, Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell.
