A rare example worn by an Air Marshal. Blue grey cloth, the collar edged with gold "Vellum" pattern lace and a row of oakleaves in gold embroidery. Shoulder-straps embroidered with Eagle device and a small laurel wreath around the button. Gold bullion embroidered Pilot's Wings on left breast and loop provision for breast Order and Medals. Seven gilt buttons to front and two to reverse at the waist. To each cuff, Air Marshal gold bullion Vellum rank lace. The interior with quilted cotton lining. Minor stitching faults and three small moth holes which when the tunic is displayed does not effect the appearance. ... Accompanied by overall trousers of the correct pattern with gilt lace line.
