A COLLECTION OF FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR MEDALS TO THE WAKE FAMILY. A collection of medals, badges and other items including a Great War pair named to 469358 Pte H. Wake 24-Can Inf. George VI Territorial Award with clasp named to Wake 5497433 Cpl F.D. Wake Norfolk. Also 1939-45 and Italy Stars, Two Defence, War Medal and Silver War Badge number 44294. With many other badges, shoulder titles and others. Private Harry Wake is recorded with the 64th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Frederick Douglas Wake is recorded with the rank of Warrant Officer, Class 2. With a small collection of paperwork including F.D. Wake's copy of his attestation papers, and a letter suggesting Pte Wake 'lined the route' at the Coronation of George the Sixth. Mounted for display in two glazed frames. 30 x 40 and 33 x 73 cm.
