Clarice Cliff - Rene Dale - An original hand written letter from Clarice Cliff to Rene Dale on A.J. Wilkinson headed notepaper, the letter reads -

'Dear Rene, I want to thank you very much, for staying on your own. It is just possible that I may come over one afternoon, I certainly would like too.
Have you enough money left for your 'bus fares, etc' if not, ask Mr Woods for some (correction) and he will charge it to the works.
Why not take one (or two) of the girls to the pictures, and pay for her, I suppose that you are friendly enough by now. I sent your last weeks wages, yesterday, yours Clarice Cliff

P.S - I was away over the weekend so that I do not know how you were fixed for money. Don't be afraid to ask Mr Woods of the head of department for anything you want. CC'
