Two Indian Mughal illustrated manuscript fragments. The lot comprising a 19th century watercolour and ink illustration of two-armed Vishnu on handmade paper, wearing gold crown and red garment, with two attendant anthropomorphic dog beasts, each with two horns. Red & yellow watercolour border, black ink signature in Sanskrit. Measures approx. 10cm x 9cm. Along with a believed 18th century watercolour and ink painting depiction of two armed dancing Vishnu as Varaha, with bear head and human body, wearing red robes & supporting Lakshmi / Bhudevi / Bhumi on the earth seated with hands in prayer, between two trees. Two cartouche ink inscriptions, possibly signature, in Sanskrit & with red border.
