A Louis XVI Neoclassical silver gilt bowl, maker's mark rubbed Paris 1777, with later Dutch import marks for Amsterdam 1849, of stylised Roman form, the beaded rim with pieced border, quartered with paterae and ribbon bows supporting intaglio, decorated with a band of chased and engraved laurel leaves, raised on three foliate decorated cabriole legs with hoof feet, 335grams 9.2cm high, 16cm diameter.
