A nameplate, UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE, from BR Class 47 No D1731 built by Brush Traction, Works No 502, in June 1964, renumbered 47 550 in February 1975. Named on 1 May 1982 by the Vice-Chancellor to mark the centenary of the University. Name removed in October 1997. The loco withdrawn in September 1996 from Immingham and cut up by European Metal Processing at Kingsbury in March 2010. Cast aluminium, length 80½", in ex loco condition.
