GEORGE III INLAID FIGURED MAHOGANY CASED LONGCASE CLOCK WITH ROLLING MOONPHASE, SIGNED JN LEES, MIDDLETON, the 14” brass dial with silvered chapter ring and with rolling moonphase and subsidiary date aperture to the engraved centre, enclosed by pierced spandrels and powered by an eight day movement, striking on a bell, housed in a case with pierced swan neck pediment, turned finials and brass capped free standing fluted columns to the fore corners, set above a long trunk door with shaped top, flanked by cluster columns to the fire corners, and raised on a chamfered and crossbanded base with ogee bracket feet, 91” (231.1) high

The hood and case have been refinished to a reasonable standard, the works are very clean and have probably been the subject of an overhall at point of restoration.
The case has some cracks to the footboard veneer and there are losses from the crossbanding on the hood door.
