Railway. Infrastructure and modern traction. An excellent assortment of British Railways Public Relations and Publicity Dept./Central Photographic Unit OFFICIAL photographs. As usual the quality is very good. There are 48 in total ( 1 repeat photo of APT -3 photos) most are 22cm x 16cm black and white glossy prints, there are a few 20cm x 15cm mixed in. Most/all have the official stamp on the reverse with negative number and date of publication and in some cases typed descriptions on headed paper. Nearly all of them are from the London Midland region dept. and include several photos of production APT's, HST's, 1 Deltic, 1 class 56, EMU's, postal services, carriage interiors, staff/workmen, signals etc. The earliest one is D10000 leaving Derby in 1947 on a test run, this dated 1948 on the reverse. Rare opportunity. All the prints are in good condition. Sample illustrated.
