A late 18th century naval dirk, sharply curved blade 9”, brass hilt with “S” shaped crossguard and diamond panelled langets, upward facing lion’s head pommel and backstrap, ring to pommel, shallow facetted ivory grip (cracked and chipped), in its brass sheath with 2 rings, engraved with scrolled panels, foliate on the outer side, plain on the inner. Basically GC for age (some wear and dents).
