A PAIR OF LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY SPELTER CANDLESTICKS, FIRE IRONS AND TWO WOODEN BOXES, the cold painted spelter candlesticks of figural form, possibly French in origin, modelled as a Persian man and woman, height 40cm, together with a pair of brass fire dogs, cast poker, tongs and shovel, a Tunbridge ware work box and a small brass banded wooden box with cartouche engraved 'J. F. W.' (9) (Condition Report: generally ok, the female figural candlestick has a broken arm, both have wear and some areas of paint loss, the work box is in need of some attention, with missing veneer, an extensive crack, no inner tray, etc, fire irons appear ok but would benefit from a clean)
