Militaria : A rare 1845 pattern Officer of Scots Guard's Sword by Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall , London . The 35'' blade profusely decorated with full battle honours of the regiment : Waterloo , Peninsula , Barrosa , Talavera , Egypt and Lincelles , with VR cipher and crown atop acanthus scrollwork . The hilt with pipeback handle , wire - wrapped shagreen grip and guard with the Scots Guards insignia . Serial number 6153 stamped to the top edge of the blade , dating the sword as manufactured in 1855 .
