British WWI Press Photograph C.1137. "A scene on the Somme Battlefield in the recent Snowstorm." An interesting picture which shows an old farm house which is surrounded by what was an old trench system, with a small gauge railway which heads forward of the position which would have taken men to the new Frontline position. Stamps on the back read "Official photograph issued by the Press Bureau." and taken by the "Alfieri Picture Service"
