FINE EARLY ELEGANT BOOMERANG, DARLING RIVER REGION, NEW SOUTH WALES. Carved and adzed hardwood. Boomerang with characteristic fine tooling, from the Darling River region of New South Wales. With their elegant forms and beautiful light-reflecting surfaces, these were fighting weapons used by men in battles, rather than for hunting purposes. Approx L86 x 5.5cm.
