A Midshipman’s small dirk, c 1810, shallow diamond section blade 6”, copper gilt foliate crossguard with upswept quillons, ornamental lower band to turned ivory grip and flattened ball with small gilt flower on the top, in its gilt sheath with 2 rings and engraved with oak leaves on the front. GC, retaining approx 65% gilt.
