Minton Secessionist jardiniere on stand, circa 1915, the sea green ground dispersed with stylised flowerheads and foliage in pinks and orange, printed and impressed marks, RD No. 616446, height 103.5cm
The jardiniere has restoration from the rim concealing a hair crack. Adjacent to it is a light hair crack visible from the inside. Fine craquelure throughout with a number of areas of restoration touching up where the glaze has flaked.
The pedestal base has been broken, restuck and subsequently restored, with overpainting. The foot has a restored crack. The body of the pedestal has glaze craquelure, but no evidence of actual flaking and touching up. It does not appear that either the jardiniere or the base have been structurally compromised. The restoration is of a good standard.
