Set of four 19th century marquetry inlaid chairs to include an armchair, all with padded backs and worn leather upholstered seats, 61 x 91 x 44cm. (4)
Chair 1: Historic repairs, including woodfiller along the sides of the top scroll, there is some cracking on the reverse of the back, and a smattering of woodworm holes along one back rail. Many woodworm holes visible underneath. Chair feels sturdy when sat in.
Chair 2: Similar issues, with woodworm along one side, and dowel repairs to both front legs and chipping out the feet. Many woodworm holes visible underneath. Chair feels sturdy when sat in.
Chair 3: General repairs, the back has been broken where it meets the seat and repaired, and one front leg has had the top replaced but still has a significant crack. Many woodworm holes visible underneath and the webbing has broken. Chair feels a bit wobbly when sat in, there's some movement in the cracked leg.
Carver: General veneer repairs. The top curved rail has been broken in half and repaired, the webbing has gone, and there are a few wormholes underneath. Feels relatively sturdy when sat in, maybe some side to side wobble when trying.
