Chrysler first introduced the SRT brand using Auburn Hills design, American tuned and re-engineered AMG-32 supercharged power with tried German mechanicals in 2005, production ceased in 2006. 2,427 SRT-6 Coupes in LHD were built, however in RHD the production run was 105 worldwide, with only 102 believed to be surviving today. The RHD SRT-6 Coupe came in two editions, the first made in 2005 is recognised with upright type graphics, totalled 28. The second made in 2006 an italic font was used, totalled 77. Approximately 42 first and second edition SRT-6 Coupe RHD’s are in the UK.
A unique opportunity to buy a Chrysler SRT-6 Coupe First Edition, which was recently featured in the June 3, Classic Car Weekly. As a first edition, this car is amongst the rarest. It came off the Osnabrück Karmann production line at 6am October 5, 2005. This car is in lovely condition and drives beautifully, its performance equals that of a super car and always attracts admiring glances.
During the present 3 year ownership, apart from routine maintenance, the car has benefitted from a new alternator/serpentine belt, a new battery, some detailing, the tailgate dismantled for resealing, corrosion eradicated in both doors (a common Chrysler manufacturing issue), a set of illuminated door sills made by the company who do fine engraving for McLaren, installation of the original factory Sat-Nav unit (A Bluetooth streaming module had been added internally), and a complete waxoyl in 2018. The only outstanding work is refurbishment of the original Ronal wheel centres which were painted incorrectly. Due to their scarcity and value, they are not left on the car. The parking lights use LEDs to achieve a good daytime light, so the bulb warning light shows. There is a tiny chip on the windscreen which has been repaired and is secure. Included in the car price are a useful set of spares and scarce original sales literature including the 2004 Geneva Motor Show SRT-6 Press launch Kit.
There’s a current MoT, and Full Service History documentation, plus contact was made with all the 5 previous owners to investigate the car’s previous care. The first owner was a Chrysler dealership, the Lister Group, who used the car as a flagship transport.
