A George II pewter OEWS gallon spouted acorn-shaped knopped flagon, York, circa 1750

The body of typical acorn-shape, with mid-fillet to lower bulbous base, domed lid with tall simple knop, ram’s horn thumbpiece, single-curve handle with ridged terminal, possible touchmark inside base, ‘I H’ (?) for John Harrison, York, (fl.1713-1754),  (PS77), footrim detached, height 37.3cm
