A George I/II pewter spire flagon, circa 1720-50

Having a straight-sided tapering drum with broad high fillet, a flared skirt footrim, domed lid with ‘pagoda’-knop, broken double C-curve handle with hooded ball terminal, hallmark to rim (M15013), height 31.5cm

This hallmark was used for more than one hundred years, from circa 1700, by at least ten different pewterers
