A FINE SET OF SIX IRISH, CORK, SILVER DESSERT SPOONS, complete in a fitted case. The spoons have an interesting, engraved ship detail to the tips along with clear maker’s mark for Carden Terry, and STERLING. Dating from around 1775. Total weight: 176grams total. More About the Maker: Carden Terry was born in February of 1742. He was apprenticed in 1758. His first mention is in the Corke Evening Post of February 1764, advertising business at ‘New House within 2 doors of Broad Lane, Corke, at the sign of the Golden Cup’. In 1768 he became a member of the Cork Goldsmiths Company.
