A Victorian Scottish silver pipe case possibly by John Sanderson & So, Edinburgh after 1877, duty mark, thistle and maker only, with silver pipe cleaner, the lid engraved with the Inniskilling Dragoons in garter around a crest, with clay pipe, 14.5cms. (5.5ins.), 34gms Fairbairn's Book of Crests of the Families of Great Britain and Ireland, Fourth Edition revised and enlarged Reprint published by Heraldry Today, Plate 193, No.1, Page-128, possibly McCull The 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons was renamed in 1861, it saw action in the Indian Rebellion 1857 and the Anglo-Zulu War in 1879. From 1895 until 1897 it was posted to Scotland.
