Imperial German M1898 Seitengewehr Bayonet
20 1/2 inch, single, narrow, quill point blade with narrow fuller. Forte with maker "Simson & Co Suhl". Steel, turn up quillon, regimentally stamped "96.R.4.244". Steel pommel with Inspection stamp. Grooved, wooden slab grips. Contained in its steel mounted leather scabbard. Rear seam split and some creases.
