A late 19c French four glass mantel clock in glazed brass case inlaid with blue ground champlevé enamel and surmounted by an urn. The case has freestanding columns to the corners and there is an enamel band around the dial rim and on the pendulum. the dial is gilt with Arabic numerals and an enamel centre. The movement is rack striking on a gong and has a compensated false mercury pendulum. The clock stands 38cms h.
The gilding to the case seems intact but tarnished and needs cleaning. The enamel everywhere seems in good condition. The painted numerals on the dial are worn. The movement seems fairly clean and is complete and ticks and strikes. The glass panels are undamaged.
