Paul Storr: A William IV silver cream jug by Paul Storr, London 1837, lobed baluster form, chased with foliage and flowerheads, engraved to cartouche with a crest, raised on three leaf-capped feet, the S-scroll handle with leaf-form thumbpiece, gilded to interior. 13.3cm high overall, 9.8 troy ounces
Marks very lightly rubbed but clear and legible. Stands upright, no rocking. Heavy gauge silver, clean and strong gilding to interior. Residue of old sellotape covering hallmark and stamped '173' to base. Crest sharply engraved. A few minor dings, surface tarnish and light scratches commensurate with age and use. Very good condition.
