A collection of approximately 200 Edwardian and later postcards including Kent and East Sussex interest with scenes from Rye, Winchelsea, Hastings, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Tunbridge Wells and others, and naval interest including a 1904 Holland Class submarine, the 1906 launch of HMS Dreadnought, the 1904 fire on the South Pier, Portsmouth, and an artist's impression of the Oct 1904 'Russian Outrage' when the Russian Baltic Fleet mistook a fishing trawler, part of the fishing fleet from Hull, for a Japanese Navy Torpedo boat and fired on her. The incident almost led to war between the UK and Russia, the postcard was sent a month after the event, and other postcards housed in an album
