A WWI Grenadier Guards pair of medals named to: 30431 PTE. J. HIBBARD. G. GDS. Together with a brass Duty plate named to: 24233908 R. Newson. Coldstream Guards. Private J Hibbard was dispatched to France on 7th April 1917 but was court martialled for desertion on 1st November 1918 and sentenced to 6 months hard labour, later commuted to 90 days.
