ARR - Kyffin Williams (1918-2006) - SHEPHERD OR HILL FARMER - ink & wash on paper, 13.4 by 9.85ins. (34 by 25cms.), in glazed frame - initialled lower right & inscribed 'for Jilly'. Provenance - the 1970's/80's Pimlico, London antiques dealer & decorator Jilly Kelly, and thence by family descent. Kelly was well known to Kyffin Williams and the present vendor has a copy of his autobiography 'Across The Straits' inscribed to her by Kyffin 'This copy belongs to dear Jilly with love from the author', signed and dated '73, and a copy of his book 'A Wider Sky', inscribed by Kyffin 'for Jilly with love Kyffin'.
