A rare small brass plaque relating to BR ex GWR King Class 4-6-0 Tender Locomotive, RN 6009, King Charles II. Text 'Improved Draughting'. Stamped '6009'. Dimensions: Width 9.5cm x Depth 6.25cm. The plate relates to the 1950s modification of chimney liner and reduced diameter blastpipe by B.R. to the King class of locomotives. The plate was probably displayed in the locomotive cab. VGC for age. £300-£400
