A Louis XIV style carved giltwood stool, with upholstered seat and scroll and harebell carved squared tapered legs with interlaced stretcher and fluted bun feet, W.5ft 4in. D.1ft 6in. H.1ft 8in.
CONDITION: Upholstery is a little faded particularly at the left hand end with the braided trim coming loose, gilding overall has an attractive semi bright tone but with numerous tiny little lost flakes of gilding now showing through with the white of the gesso, one or two old separations in the joints of the stretcher and some scuffing to the feet but overall good order.
