Rochdale. 1903 Covers posted within Rochdale both franked 1d, tied by the oval Advance Posting cancel code "R.O.", one in red, the other in black. A fine and unusual pair, c.26,000 items posted in 1903, red ink usually used on ½d stamps and black ink on 1d stamps. One cover with flap missing, the other with R.P.S Certificate (1984). (2).
